LeadingValues Program Format and Time Commitment

All Public Courses are delivered by Distance Learning

Distance learning Model

LeadingValues is a self directed blended learning program comprising an e-learning platform supported by Tele-tutorials, action learning/small group coaching, buddy learning cafes, Forums etc.

The new expanded course in a blended learning format both make the program more accessible and if is more environmentally friendly.

LeadingValues is based on tried and tested methods, proven in the field. With a minimum of theory, the program is delivered experientially over two units each with 4 sessions incorporating tools, scripts and templates that can be used now.

A.    Self directed e-learning:

e-Learning commitment includes reading, research, planning, pre-work and reflection. Learners may spend more or less time on individual topics depending on experience, interest and need.

B.    Tele-Tutorials:

Phone in or Skype on alternate weeks 1,3,5,7 for a 1 hr expert tutorial with the course leader.

C. Action Learning/Small Group Coaching

In group coaching you will learn more practical skills and tips than from seminars and training programs. Make commitments to change aspects of your leadership practice and to put your learning into action continuously.

D.    Buddy Learning Cafes (Optional)

Self organise meetings with learning buddies. Contact with learning buddies may be via phone, Skype, e-mail, face to face or other agreed means most suitable for the group.

E.    Dynamic Workbook

Create your own DIY dynamic personalised workbook for enhanced learning

F.    Personal Project

Apply your learning to a personal project

G.    Post-Course Options

How much time will LeadingValues take?

LeadingValues is self paced. You can spend as much or as little time as you wish to get what you need from the program LeadingValues is delivered flexibly over 8 weeks incorporating.
As a guideline, the estimated commitment is:

What equipment and technology is required?

  • PC, Mac or Linux Computer with Web Browser [Firefox (preferred), Explorer, Safari, Opera etc];
  • PDF Reader (Adobe Acrobat);  MS Word or equivalent (.doc) reader/editor
  • Broadband access to the internet and Email account;
  • Telephone service to dial into Tele-Coaching Conferences-
  • Optional phone card and/or Skype (preferred) for Buddy Learning Café

  • Printer; A4 Paper (Print only what you need)
  • 200 sheet 2 ring A4 binder with 20 coloured separator tabs;

Is LeadingValues delivered as a Block Workshop?
The modular blended learning approach including e-learning, tele tutorials, group coaching and buddy learning cafes, means that you can complete this program in your own time and space. To run this program as a block workshop would mean that you would be at least 2-3 days away from your workplace. Blended learning is ideal for busy people saving time and reducing the carbon footprint. LeadingValues is available worldwide..

Is a workbook provided?
You create your own dynamic workbook from the e-learning content. You can save all the content as electronic files on your hard disk for future use and print only what you need.

When was LeadingValues relaunched?
LeadingValues was relaunched during Small Business September 2007 with support from NSW Department of State and Regional Development

Who created LeadingValues?
Greg Jenkins is a change agent with more than 30 years experience in Leadership in Australian and international organisations. Greg has taught early versions of this program to hundreds over the past several years in public and in-house workshops. Greg helps organisations of all sizes and individuals with innovation, change, strategy and leadership. The course is lively, fun and thought provoking. You are guaranteed to change.
